Alien Hive Campaign (12-Mission Set)

The campaign consists of 6 chapters, with each chapter having two missions.

The campaign revolves around a team of four battle-hardened warriors who have been allies for a long time. They have fought and conquered many battles, missions, and contracts given to them by Commander Togth on Battleship Varun. Battleship Varun is a massive roaming vessel that travels through the universe and serves as the headquarters and hub of the Scythehood, a group of exiles, mercenaries, headhunters, specialists, and outcasts from various planets and races, each providing a different set of skills. The Scythehood embarks on missions to various planets to help people in need overcome chaos that threatens to consume their planet. Planets will pay good coin for the Scythehood to help their world overcome its problems. When a mission is issued to the Scythehood, Commander Togth usually forms a team of four unique individuals to scout out and assess the problem of the planet in need of help.

When a particular mission comes in from planet Earth, it raises suspicion for Commander Togth, as it is his home world. Earth is home to the Human Defense Corps, a very powerful colony, and where Commander Togth excelled in ranking highest among his fellow soldiers. Togth then started the Scythehood after he conquered everything he could on planet Earth, his reason being he needed to expunge any challenge and threat he could get his hands on. If he could do it on his own planet, he could do it to any planet and make some coin doing it. When Company leader Colonel Reno Rosetti of the Human Defense Force sent word that Earth was having an invasion of such force that even they couldn't handle, Commander Togth immediately focused everything on defending Earth. The filthy and relentless species known as the Tyrranids have invaded Earth; they came with such numbers and force that Earth had no chance to defend most of its cities.

Commander Togth immediately turned the ship and set course for Earth. Though he was many galaxies away, it would take some time to reach it. Since Commander Togth needed to know how bad the situation was on Earth before the Varun arrived, he quickly searched for any Scythehood near the planet to scout it out. Luckily, one of his favorite teams had just finished a mission on Planet Neptune and was the closest to Earth. The Neptune mission was to seek out a powerful sorceress who was threatening the planet with total mind control. The team hunted down the sorceress and killed her, retrieving a powerful stone called the Glaciersist. This stone was well known in the universe as it has the power, if used correctly, to inhabit the minds of individuals. The ice planet of Neptune was home to many yetis and giants; the sorceress's plans were to control these beings and use them for her evil schemes. The team was to secure the stone and transport it back safely to the Varun, where it would be placed in the vault.

With a slight change of plans and in a position of emergency, Commander Togth focused all of his attention on the safety of Earth. He briefed the team who had just retrieved the stone from Neptune. This particular group of four, who call themselves the Ace 4, consists of a sniper by the name of Pedro Prickshot of The Adeptus Mechanicus, a battle tank Sir Sawsage Gravy III of the Knight Brothers, Peg Leg, a Frog-Mage of Saurian Starhost, and Sgt. Glunkus, an old veteran Space Marine. This team was one of the most successful and glorious groups in the Scythehood. Once the team was informed of the invasion of Tyranids on Earth, they set course for the planet, which would only take them a short amount of time to reach their destination. Once the planet was in sight, they orbited the planet and explained to Commander Togth what they were witnessing. While no other ships or vessels were in orbit, it struck the team as "odd"; however, they did notice some destruction on the planet in certain areas. Relaying the information and video of the planet, Commander Togth, in desperation and anger, ordered the team to take immediate action and descend into the atmosphere to assess and eliminate any of the Tyranid scum. He wanted answers, yet nobody knew the motive or why the invasion took place.

On entering the atmosphere, as the ship was coming in for a stealthy and tactical landing, suddenly the ship got struck by a Tyranid T-Fex, a massive, heavily armored Tyranid bioform armed with an Acid Gun. The ship started spiraling out of control, and a crash was imminent. As the ship plummeted, it struck a building before smashing into the ground. The crash was devastating, but luckily it wasn't a full casualty crash. The team climbed out of the wreckage with some minor injuries. Even though the ship was destroyed with a pile of rubble from the building surrounding the crash site, it seemed everyone made it out alive. Once the team was on their feet and assessing the damage, injuries, and environment around them, they noticed a few things that needed to be addressed. The first thing they noticed was team member Sgt. Glunkus was half-buried in rubble with a mortal wound from which he sadly would not survive and would succumb to his injuries. With his dying breath, he mumbled, "Kill the Tyranid scum..." The team was shocked, sad, and angered and immediately got in defensive positions for what could come next. Peg Leg, after getting his bearings, started to worry about the Glaciersist onboard the ship and immediately dug through some rubble and luckily located it. If the Tyranids were to obtain this stone, it would be disastrous for all galaxies. The team of three dragged out Sgt. Glunkus's body as Peg Leg placed the stone inside his wound to hide it from the Tyranid scum if they were to lose in battle.

In assessing the crash site and environment, the three set to take cover nearby in a nearby building, dragging the corpse behind them. Unbeknownst to them, a lone Tyranid was following them and getting ready to pounce on someone. Once in cover in the building, the three members started strategizing on what their next course of action would be. Whether to wait for reinforcement while they held down the building, or try to avenge their fallen teammate while continuing the mission. While discussing their next course of action, the sneaky Tyranid drags off Sgt. Glunkus's body and consumes it. After a brief while, the three members notice the corpse of their fallen friend is missing, and even worse, the Glaciersist is gone! After searching the perimeter and coming up with nothing, the reality sets in that they are in some trouble and need to find a solution quickly. Something extremely strange happens. They hear the voice of their fallen teammate Sgt. Glunkus in a confused daze come out; they hear him screaming and yelling out for help. In shock, they run out of the building and notice something impossible, a giant Tyranid standing up and walking toward them, calling out for help in Sgt. Glunkus's voice. Pedro and Peg Leg draw their weapons as Sir Sawsage Gravy III pulls up his shield, not knowing the situation and confused beyond belief. As the creature gets closer, Peg Leg notices something: the Glaciersist is sticking out of the Tyranid's ribcage! It is so strange the three teammates are in total disbelief and don't know what to do. Sir Sawsage Gravy III yells out, "STOP! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER! GLUNK, IS THAT YOU?!" Sgt. Glunkus responds and says, "Yes! What happened?" Pedro yells out, "Glunkus, don't freak out, but we were in a crash and you didn't survive..."

Once Pedro says that Peg Leg has a realization and bumps the other two and whispers, "A Tyranid ate Glunkus and the stone! Something powerful and strange must have happened and turned the Tyranid into Glunkus! Look at the stone in him, it is almost like it possessed the Tyranid and adapted. It is Glunkus but in a Tyranid body..." Sgt. Glunkus looks down at his body and notices it is not himself like before and starts to freak out, screaming and jumping around. Peg Leg shouts at Glunkus and says, "CALM DOWN, THEY WILL HEAR US! A Tyranid ate you and the stone and you became a mixture of the two... I don't know how to explain it, but that is what happened..." After Sgt. Glunkus starts to calm down, he becomes sad and angry at the same time. Being a veteran Space Marine and having such hatred towards Tyranids, imagining becoming one was so overwhelming. He looked at us and told us, "Kill me! I can't be one of these things!" as he stepped closer, begging us. As he approaches us, we start to hear Tyranids approaching in the distance. Noticing we are almost out of time and are about to engage in combat, Peg Leg asks Glunkus, "Help us, and we will kill you later. We need your help, Glunkus. Help us complete the mission. Let's kill all the Tyranids we can and I promise you if you still want to die, I will personally kill you. Please..." After a brief pause and consideration, Glunkus looks at us and says, "Fine! Let us kill all these Tyranid bastards! Kill 'em ALL for what they did to me!!"

Glunkus approaches as we stand down, him standing next to us. He is admiring his new being, telling us he feels stronger, faster, and a lot younger, even though he feels sickened being a Tyrranid. He also explains how he still feels some Tyrranid is still in him in a weird way he cannot describe, almost like he's still connected to them. Pedro looks at Peg Leg and says, "We need to contact the Commander, but our communication is destroyed. Any ideas on how we can reach out to the Varun?" Peg Leg responds, "I think I saw some sort of radio tower when we were descending to the north. Maybe that can work?" As the two discuss, Glunkus has a seizure-like experience that only lasts for a couple of seconds. Sir Sawsage Gravy III looks at him and says, "Besides being a Tyrranid, you doing okay? What was that?" Glunkus replies, "I don't know, it was strange, it just kind of took control over me, like someone was speaking and ordering me to do something..." Sir Sawsage Gravy III comments, "This is a fucked up day..." The four decide they need to go to the radio tower to contact the Commander. They start sprinting to the radio tower...
